Julian is a German cinematographer based in London. Since graduating with a Master’s degree in Filmmaking in Scotland in 2018, he has been working on fictional films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials. He’s fascinated by cinema, people’s stories, cultures, and art. His aspiration is not to simply create beautiful images, but to translate stories and feelings into a suitable visual form. The story always comes first – his eye adapts to it.

Besides his work as a cinematographer, Julian also works for high-end movie productions as a specialist for on-set VFX - combining his passion for cinematography and filmmaking with his technical knowledge.

He owns an ARRI Alexa XT with accessories.
